Kristen was on London’s This Morning Show yesterday morning and you can see the video on their official site if you’re a resident. Since I’m in the US I’m not able to grab the video for our site/screencap it, but I’m working on getting it. If you can help, feel free to e-mail me the video at team@kristen-b.net.
Gorgeous Gossip Girl tells us about getting to the top spot in the US film charts.
Kristen has gone from teenage detective in E4’s Veronica Mars to internet blogger in ITV2’s Gossip Girl, to being able to manipulate electricity in BBC2’s Heroes.
She is one of the biggest rising US stars of the moment and her career up does not appear to be slowing down as her latest project, film Couples Retreat, has proved a huge hit.
The film, out now, focuses around Jason (Jason Bateman) and Cynthia, played by Kristen, who are at a crossroads in their relationship after eight years together.
The once-happy pair shock their friends when they announce they are considering a divorce. In order to save their marriage, they head to Eden Resort, a tropical island paradise in the South Pacific specialising in couples’ therapy.
Kristen, who had to learn tantric yoga for the role, said filming in Bora Bora, a French Polynesia island, was amazing and that she hopes the film will lift the stigma attached to couples therapy.
Couples Retreat debuted in the USA with $35.3 million. It topped the chart on it’s release, beating American zombie-comedy film, Zombieland which made $15m.
Kristen has also starred in film comedy Forgetting Sarah Marshall. It is reported she is set to star alongside Cher and Christina Aguilera in upcoming film Burlesque.
In January 2010, Kristen will also be seen as the lead in Disney’s romantic comedy When in Rome, opposite Josh Duhamel, Danny DeVito and Dax Shepard. Kristen recently started production on another Disney film, You Again.
Catch Gossip Girl on ITV2, Wednesdays, 8pm.
