Kristen Bell has revealed that she dyed her hair dark to help her look more “bad” in Burlesque. The actress, who starred with Christina Aguilera and Cher in the movie, said that the producers asked her to colour her hair darker because she didn’t look evil enough for the role when she was blonde. Bell told the Daily Mail: “I’m a blonde girl who goes dark to go bad. They felt my character should be brunette and bad.” Talking about her character, she said: “I’m the girl who feels threatened by Christina. It was make-believe – I just pretended to make Christina’s life a misery.” Credit: Digital Spy |

Kristen Bell is in a lot of pain these days. “I’ve started dance rehearsals and my neck is sore and my inner thighs are so sore,” Bell told me at last night’s Vanity Fair-hosted launch of Guess?’s new T-shirt benefiting Invisible Children. No, the actress is not training for a stint on Dancing With the Stars. She’s getting ready to start shooting Burlesque, director Steve Antin’s upcoming drama in which she and Christina Aguilera costar as rivals at a Hollywood burlesque club owned by a former dancer played by Cher. Rounding out the cast is Twilight stud Cam Gigandet, Julianne Hough and Stanley Tucci. |

Kristen Bell gets to play one of âher favorite kinds of girls – sassy and smartâ when she voices Cora in Fridayâs Astro Boy. Originally a â60s Japanese anime cartoon, Astro Boy has been given a digital makeover and a voice cast that includes Freddie Highmore as Astro, Nicolas Cage and Samuel L. Jackson. âIt has echoes of so many different stories – âPinocchio,â âOliver Twist,â â Bell said of the futuristic tale where a scientist creates a robot in the image of his late son, complete with his memories. |
