On Sunday, Kristen Bell will turn 30-years-old and is using her big day to help make a big difference.
The star has teamed up with Charity: Water to raise money for their important work bringing clean drinking water to impoverished nations.
On a special donation page, Kristen writes:
“A billion people in the world are living without clean water. EFF THAT. Water-borne illness
is the second highest cause of childhood death in the world. NOT ON MY WATCH. 45,000 people will die this week alone from contaminated water illnesses. Y’ALL, LETS GET OFF OUR HINEYS AND FIX THIS. Please help me get to my goal of 100K and let’s have a clean water toast.”
So far, the star has raised almost $6,000 and hopes to collect $100,000 by Sunday! That’s a lot of moola!

Kristen Bell has designed her own shoe for charity. The 29-year-old actress created a pair of faux-leather gladiator booties in collaboration with the children at Los Angeles’ Shriners Hospitals for Children. Named “The Midge”, the shoes will be available on Kim Kardashian’s online shoe club ShoeDazzle in August.
Kristen, who is best known for her starring role on US TV show Veronica Mars, is extremely proud of her design, and hopes people will love them as much as she does.
“You can wear these anywhere,” Kristen told People magazine, “and hopefully they’ll be comfortable.”
Every cent of sales of the footwear will go to Art of Elysium, a charity that brings actors and musicians into the lives of seriously ill children.
Kristen admitted she had never designed before but was keen to get on board as charity work is really important to her.
