OK, 2011 pilot season. You’ve got my attention.
Sources confirm to me exclusively that the supremely talented Kristen Bell is eying a return to the small screen in the buzzy Showtime pilot House of Lies.
The ex-Veronica Mars sleuth joins Don Cheadle (Hotel Rwanda) and Dawn Olivieri (Heroes) in the dark comedy, which revolves around dueling corporate management consulting firms. Bell will play Jeannie, a razor-sharp Brown grad who reluctantly finds herself attracted to her co-worker Marty (Cheadle).
Matthew Carnahan (Dirt) is spearheading the prospective series, an adaptation of Martin Kihn’s best-selling tell-all tome Lies: How Management Consultants Steal Your Watch and Tell You the Time.
As far as pilot castings go, this one is going to be tough to top.

OMG I am so excited about this, I really hope this show will be awsome, stay tuned for more information about this tv series.
Having nice skin can be a really good thing in Hollywood. Especially if you’re Kristen Bell.
E! News has exclusively learned from Neutrogena that the Burlesque star will be the face of the company’s new Neutrogena Naturals line.
Neutrogena isn’t releasing any further details of the deal, including when the campaign will even officially launch, though a source tells E! News that the 30-year-old actress has already shot the print, TV and online ads, and reportedly earned somewhere in the $500,000 range for the gig.
“She’s got an all-American look that is very relatable for a lot of women,” says one of our sources. “She is a great fit for the brand.”
Other recent celebrity endorsers for Neutrogena include Jennifer Garner, Vanessa Hudgens, Hayden Panettiere and Gabrielle Union.

Talk about putting the Vania before Transyl: NBC and Pushing Daisies mastermind Bryan Fuller are in the very early stages of developing a reboot of the creepshow classic The Munsters, but there’s already a fervent fan movement under way to get Kristen Bell cast as Marilyn. And one of those fans is Fuller himself!
“Are you kidding me?” he enthuses of the Veronica Mars powerhouse. “Kristen would be perfect.”
Coincidentally, Fuller says the Munster clan’s “plain” cousin will be much more pivotal than she was in the ’60s original. “She is our eyes into the world,” he explains, “in the sense that we all can relate to our families exhibiting some level of monstrous behavior.” (Also playing a larger role: Eddie’s pet dragon, Spot.)
Fuller plans to fashion his Munsters update as a cross between Modern Family and True Blood. “This version has teeth and isn’t afraid to use them,” he says with a laugh. “For example, the story begins when young Eddie unexpectedly manifests as a werewolf on a scout camping trip and inadvertently eats two of his fellow scouts.” Sounds yummy!
Kristen Bell has revealed that she would love to take on a dramatic role.
The actress has made her name in comedy roles such as When In Rome, Couples retreat and Forgetting Sarah Marshall in recent years and she wants to broaden her horizon she believes that she will be offered more comedy roles.
Speaking to the Press Association the actress said: “It’s funny because once you do a comedy then the next opportunities you get are sort of in that line.
“I would love to do something dramatic but right now comedy is more kind of where my wheel house is.”
And comedy is when we will next see Bell on the big screen as she stars alongside Sigourney Weaver and Jamie Lee Curtis in her movie You Again, which opened at number five in the U.S. box office.
Kristen appeared as a guest judge on Project Runway‘s September 9, 2010 episode (episode seven of season eight). Coverage of her episode has now been added to the site. Screencaps and stills are in the gallery, while video clips are available after the break.
Anna Paquin and Kristen Bell have joined the cast of Scream 4, which has already started shooting in Michigan and is slated for release next April. The USA Today broke the news yesterday and Dimension Films confirms that the True Blood star and Veronica Mars will join the franchise’s holdovers Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, David Arquette, as well as new characters played by Emma Roberts, Hayden Panettiere, and Adam Brody in director Wes Craven’s new frightfest.
But will the recently-announced additions play major roles, or will they be sacrificial lambs of the Drew Barrymore variety (which, in turn, was an homage to Janet Leigh’s demise in Psycho)? Would Scream 4 dare kill Sookie or Veronica off in the first 10 minutes?
Kristen Bell will play a fierce stage mom in the upcoming independent dance comedy feature “Dance of the Mirlitons.”
Story revolves around Bell’s character, who grooms her young, overweight ballerina daughter for stardom.
“Kristen’s combination of comedic timing and authenticity will bring this character to the next level, and give this crossover appeal,” said the film’s producer Daniel Dubiecki.
At present, a search is underway to discover the girl who will play Bell’s daughter.
A veteran from the cult TV teen drama “Veronica Mars,” Bell has segued into a comfortable motion picture career, mostly playing in broad romantic comedies including “Couples Retreat,” “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” and “When in Rome.”
Bell is really flexing her musical arms lately. She can be seen in the music video “Madder Red” by rock band Yeasayer. The video has been described as a moving tale between a girl and her pet blob monster.
Kristen Bell is also set to wow in the upcoming Thanksgiving release “Burlesque” from Screen Gems/Sony Pictures.
The Couples Retreat actress says she loves her job narrating the hit show Gossip Girl and has no intention to come out of hiding — despite pleas from fans.
“A lot of fans do ask me and say I should be in the show other than just narrating,” says Kristen. “But I don’t know. Maybe it would spoil the magic.
“Sometimes I threaten the producers by saying I’m going to go to a casting and get a part that way but I’m very proud to be the voice really. I’m not on set every day but everyone is so warm and friendly when I am so it’s a great job to do.”
Bell — who’s engaged to comedian Dax Shepard — recently admitted being in love makes her nervous.
“I think you can steer you own destiny,” she said last month.
“If you’re putting positive energy out there, I think that’s going to come at you most times.
“I think with love your gut tells you what to do – you don’t really control it. I’m kind of a control freak so that makes me nervous.”
It looks like Kristen Bell is still enjoying her engagement to Dax Shepard.
At last night’s Loft fall preview party at Chateau Marmont, the actress admitted she’s done zero wedding planning.
“Not as of yet!” she told us when asked if she’s prepped at all for her walk down the aisle.
Kristen obviously isn’t one of those girls who’s been dreaming of marriage since she was a little girl…
The actress says she has no idea what kind of wedding she wants.
(Either that, or she’s really good at keeping tight-lipped about her nuptials.)
She did spill about some of her summer travel plans, though. Kristen said she’s heading to Cancun today—but not for a bachelorette party.
“It’s actually for a press conference of all things!” she laughed. “I have to go…it’s for work.”
Lucky girl. As for her Fourth of July plans, it sounds like she may be spending that with her fiancé.
“I think I’m going to Oregon to do some hiking,” she said. “That should be fun.”

Kristen Bell doesn’t shy away from taking risks. The petite actress, 29, who is engaged to Dax Shepard, got her motorcycle license.
“It was intense,” she tells me during Marshalls Unlock Your Shopportunity event to benefit Dress For Success held in NYC.
“They assess your risk-taking skills, and they ask you a whole bunch of questions psychiatrically that would make them figure out whether or not you would blow a stop sign if no one else was around, which I passed with flying colors ‘cause I follow the rules even when no one’s looking.”
She continues, “I took my test in the pouring rain of a Mercedes dealership parking lot, which I thought was the most ironic place to hold it, because if I hit something, I don’t just hit a tree – I hit someone’s Mercedes. I kept it on my Flip video, which I’ll have to cherish for the rest of my life. And I took it in the pouring rain, which was very hard.”
What’s it like riding a motorcycle?
“They’re hard to control,” she says. “I thought I would be a lot better at it than I was, but there is something about the whole concept of the freedom of the road that’s very inspiring. But I think for now, having experienced it, I might stick with my beach cruiser. It’s a little more controllable.”
She finds motorcycling exhilarating.
“Life is full of fun things to do that mess with your adrenaline like roller coasters or riding a motorcycle,” Kristen says. “Sometimes those things are fun to mix it up.”
Still, she isn’t totally fearless.
“I don’t trust myself enough to ride out into the street on my own,” she says. “That’s a big machine. I’m not going to join the Hell’s Angels.”
Hm, what inspired her to get her motorcycle license?
“I don’t know,” she says. “I felt like it was always something I wanted to do.”
