Engaged KRISTEN BELL and DAX SHEPARD don’t want to wait until they’re married before they start a family together – the couple is reportedly building a nursery in their Los Angeles home.
Shepard proposed to the Heroes actress over the 2009 holiday season, after two years of dating.
According to U.S. magazine OK!, the pair recently hired celebrity interior decorator Kari Whitman to redo their home and turn one bedroom into a nursery, ahead of the Hollywood wedding.
A source says, “She’s planning ahead a bit. But it won’t be long. They talk about starting a family all the time.”

When In Rome star Kristen Bell said her fiance Dax Shepard ‘nailed it’ when he picked her an engagement ring.
Bell, 29, started dating Shepard, 35, in 2007 after splitting with fiance Kevin Mann.
Shepard, who starred in When In Rome with Bell, proposed to the star with a 3-carat Neil Lane-designed diamond ring earlier this year.
Talking about the ring, she said to In Touch: ‘He nailed it!’
She added: ‘I’m just excited. I’m happy and I’m trying to live in that moment. It’s kind of indescribable.’
As Aziz Ansari prepares to join the few, the proud, the notorious group of MTV Movie Awards hosts, the outside world has a couple of questions about the quirky star of “Human Giant.” That’s why Zac Efron and Kristen Bell are here for you, ready to clear up any confusion whatsoever about where he was born and how he saves lives (by dressing up as a pumpkin).
“Aziz was born in the snowy mountains of the Himalayas,” Kristen says of Aziz’s past in a new Movie Awards promo. “He used to put on his dark-blue overalls and just go sit in the snow.”
Kristen Bell has designed her own shoe for charity. The 29-year-old actress created a pair of faux-leather gladiator booties in collaboration with the children at Los Angeles’ Shriners Hospitals for Children. Named “The Midge”, the shoes will be available on Kim Kardashian’s online shoe club ShoeDazzle in August.
Kristen, who is best known for her starring role on US TV show Veronica Mars, is extremely proud of her design, and hopes people will love them as much as she does.
“You can wear these anywhere,” Kristen told People magazine, “and hopefully they’ll be comfortable.”
Every cent of sales of the footwear will go to Art of Elysium, a charity that brings actors and musicians into the lives of seriously ill children.
Kristen admitted she had never designed before but was keen to get on board as charity work is really important to her.
Reports that the Veronica Mars movie is in the final stages of rigor mortis have apparently been greatly exaggerated. According to the franchise’s boss, Rob Thomas, there’s still a chance his teen sleuth will be reborn on the big screen.
“It’s not dead,” insists Thomas. “I continue to want to do it. It’s funny, because the rumors go around and around. Kristen Bell had said to somebody that I had written a script, and that wasn’t correct. I did have a treatment and a pitch, with which I went to Warner Bros. and [Mars producer] Joel Silver and said, ‘Here is the fastball version of the movie, the big studio version of the movie that I think we can make.’ And I think they did one of their brand-awareness surveys and were like, ‘We don’t know if we can make money with that.’ So it’s been back-burnered. But I still want to do it. I’m still happy to do it. We’re still looking into it.”
Thomas, whose Starz comedy, Party Down, kicks off its second season on April 23, acknowledges that the project has a built-in expiration date. “There is a bit of a ticking clock [because] Kristen Bell does continue to age,” he concedes of his 29-year-old leading lady. “And doing ‘teen detective’ [is a] dicey proposition. But frankly, I think Veronica Mars as a 30-year-old noir detective at some point in the future would still be interesting to me.
“In sort of the tidal wave and roller coaster of feeling upbeat or downbeat about it,” Thomas concludes, “I’d say I’m feeling in the middle right now.”
Hey, a little hope is better than no hope, right? Now prove to Warner Bros. and Joel Silver that a return trip to Mars can be profitable by pledging your support in the comments! Then head to Twitter and get #VeronicaMarsMovie trending — and follow me while you’re at it! Oh, and don’t forget to join the Facebook group! Okay, I’m done now.

She is quoted by Absolute Now as saying: “I don’t really like her. I actually think she might be a real live vampire and never die. She’s almost totally blind and deaf. When you are in the house, you can hear her pooping from the other room. It’s like bowling balls hitting the floor!”

Kristen Bell is refusing to sell photographs from her upcoming wedding to fiance Dax Shepard to a glossy magazine. The pair is determined to keep the ceremony private.
Shepard proposed to the Heroes actress over the Christmas holiday after two years of dating.
But fans expecting to see snaps of the happy couple on their big day will be left disappointed. Bell is adamant the nuptials will be for close friends and family’s eyes only.
She says, “(We) keep a very low profile. We’re all the more private because people are interested and we really don’t think they should be.
“We’re not interested in making a spectacle out of something we think is lovely. We’re both very much homebodies. It’s not like we’re sitting at home but wishing we could be out at a club without people noticing us.”
We now have information that Kristen will be presenting at the Genesis Awards which will be on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California.
When in Rome‘s Kristen Bell will present a special tribute to dogs.
