At 29, she gets mature role in Couples Retreat but lends voice to teen in Astro Boy. Kristen Bell may be the only woman in Hollywood who is actually trying to age herself. At 29, she still looks like a teen. You’d definitely card her. Most people first got to know her as a high-school detective in the title role of TV’s Veronica Mars from 2004 to 2007. She was already in her 20s then. In the recent comedy hit Couples Retreat, opposite Vince Vaughn and Jason Bateman, the actress has gotten to mature a bit – playing a woman who after a number of years of marriage has problems because of her inability to conceive. |

As the omnipresent narrator of uber-popular CW hit Gossip Girl, a character in the video game Assassin’s Creed and Cora in the upcoming Astro Boy movie, Kristen Bell’s voice is almost as famous as her face. Bell shot to stardom in 2004 as the titular character in the television series ‘Veronica Mars.’ When the show was cancelled, she racked up TV credits (‘Heroes’) and movie roles (Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Couples Retreatl). Now, in ‘Astro Boy,’ Bell enters the world of animation for the first time. The actress spoke to Moviefone about geek culture, getting in front of Gossip Girl’s cameras and why she’ll never go to the theater to see herself. |

But it’s all make-believe in the animated feature Astro Boy as she voices a kid who bonds with a reluctantly heroic robot while trying to survive in a post-apocalyptic world. Kristen Bell was on “cloud nine” when she got to punch Meg Ryan. The blonde actress was thrilled to share a fight scene with the Hollywood legend in new comedy movie Serious Moonlight. She said: “I got to get in a fistfight with Meg in Serious Moonlight. And she was so game. I was just like, ‘Oh, my gosh. I am having a fistfight with Meg Ryan right now. I’m just on cloud nine.’ ” |
