There is a positive early review for Forgetting Sarah Marshall over at IESB.net, they gave it 3.5 out of 5 stars.

Different people take different things from Judd Apatow’s movies – unless you haven’t been to the movies since Marty McFly transported back to 1955 you’d know that he’s the comedy genius behind the raunchy-but-real comedy hits “The 40-Year-Old Virgin”, “Knocked Up”, “Superbad”, and “Walk Hard”, the last two of which he just produced didn’t direct (that’s probably an important point since the directors of “Superbad” and this new one probably do deserve a little bit more credit) – be it a dozen memorable belly laughs, a crush on Seth Rogen (nobody said this was an intelligent analogy), a renewed assurance in modern-day comedies (Apatow has breathed new life into the genre – go rent “Head over Heels” or “Clerks 2” if you don’t believe me) or relief that others out there struggle to hold it together through the nine months lead up to a tot’s arrival down the love chute. I, I take home a cure for a cold. The medicine has worked twice now.

Here is a bit more about Forgetting Sarah Marshall and the panel at WonderCon from IGN.

The director’s quest for awkward moments didn’t end there, however. In fact, he then turned his attention to Bell (Sarah Marshall).

“You just keep your eyes up,” said Bell of acting opposite a naked Segal. “Concentrate on keeping your eyes up. But there was a point where we were so clearly shooting coverage and Jason was still naked. And I thought, ‘Let’s just check the frame on this.’ He had been naked for the last hour and a half and it had not been on camera. So I think he put his bottoms on at that point. But there is a point where you can wear like a sock, which draws a lot more attention to it than if you’re free-wheeling.”

“But to find a sock that big is not easy,” joked Segal. To which the audience thoroughly enjoyed.

Like previously mentioned, Kristen went to WonderCon yesterday. She was one of the cast members on panel for her new flick Forgetting Sarah Marshall. There is only a few fan snaps available at this time so I’ve added those as well as caps from interview she gave to IESB.net. Here are some quotes Kristen made about the film and her character as well as the fate of Heroes from the event:

From: ComingSoon
Kristen “Loves the geek crowd.” Happy to be part of it, although not a “comic book” geek herself. Was excited to play a comedic role that was “complex,” not just a caricature or stereotype. Mentioned she finished new scenes for Fanboys, and was excited about the additions. Didn’t know about the brewing web petition controversy. Understood that people could be upset – but felt that the new scenes really helped the film.

On Sarah Marshall
“Who is she? She’s an actress and she’s probably 25% ditz, 25% bitch and 50% real. That’s kinda how I’d label her. She’s a lot of fun.”

On Heroes:
“I’m under the assumption that the storylines we were planning on completing will stay and thrilled about that because I know what is happening with my character is awesome and I wouldn’t want them to change a single bit of it.”

I have found an interview on ComingSoon.com with Kristen Bell and Jason Segel from Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Here you go.

Get ready for another hilarious comedy from the creative mind of Judd Apatow. While the prolific writer/director/producer may be enjoying the recent success of Knocked Up and Superbad, he isn’t taking much of a break to bask in the box office victory.

In fact, he’s been hard at work producing Universal Pictures’ Forgetting Sarah Marshall, which teams him up again with “Freaks and Geeks” and “Undeclared” breakout actor Jason Segel, who wrote the script and admits it’s loosely based on his own experiences with women.

The film also stars the ever so adorable Kristen Bell, who told us she is more than thrilled to be a part of the Apatow acting family when we hung out on set in Hollywood at the Egyptian Theater.

Segel describes the movie as a “romantic disaster” and is about how TV star Sarah Marshall (Bell) ends her long term relationship with her boyfriend Peter (Segel). Crushed by the break-up, he takes a Hawaiian vacation to try to get over Marshall. However, little does he know that she is also in Hawaii with her new man and of course staying at the hotel.

That definitely sounds like a romantic disaster to me.
