Kristen looked absolutley stunning at premiere for her upcoming animated movie Astro Boy yesterday. She added the premiere and I have added x138 HQ’s and MQ’s to the gallery. Can’t wait to see this movie..
Kristen Bell gets to play one of “her favorite kinds of girls – sassy and smart” when she voices Cora in Friday’s Astro Boy.
Originally a ’60s Japanese anime cartoon, Astro Boy has been given a digital makeover and a voice cast that includes Freddie Highmore as Astro, Nicolas Cage and Samuel L. Jackson.
“It has echoes of so many different stories – ‘Pinocchio,’ ‘Oliver Twist,’ ” Bell said of the futuristic tale where a scientist creates a robot in the image of his late son, complete with his memories.
Kristen Bell hates the sound of her own voice.
“I can’t even hear it on an answering machine. I throw the phone across the room. It’s too high-pitched. I hear it all day, every day, so I’m over it,” Bell, 29, groans while rolling her eyes.
But since that voice is paying the bills, she doesn’t have much choice.
In Astro Boy, in theaters Friday, she voices Cora, a runaway who leads a rowdy group of teen outcasts. And each Monday on CW (9 p.m. ET/PT), Bell dishes on Manhattan’s elite as the voice of Gossip Girl.
Kristen Bell is all real in the hit comedy Couples Retreat (just check out her bod in a bikini). But it’s all make-believe in the animated feature Astro Boy as she voices a kid who bonds with a reluctantly heroic robot while trying to survive in a post-apocalyptic world.
Parade.com’s Jeanne Wolf found out that it was always her ambition to become a cartoon.
Animate me, please.
“I think like any other girl who grew up in the ’80s and early ’90s: I always dreamed about being a Disney princess. That was my fantasy. I really liked The Little Mermaid. I also really liked Aladdin. I think that, for my generation, the kids that are my age now, we memorized all those songs. In my off hours I still do them in the shower. So it was really fun to be a part of an animated story which is based on a hugely popular Japanese TV series.”
Kristen Bell was on “cloud nine” when she got to punch Meg Ryan.
The blonde actress was thrilled to share a fight scene with the Hollywood legend in new comedy movie Serious Moonlight.
She said: “I got to get in a fistfight with Meg in Serious Moonlight. And she was so game. I was just like, ‘Oh, my gosh. I am having a fistfight with Meg Ryan right now. I’m just on cloud nine.’ ”
As Mycah mentioned earlier, Kristen were on The Morning Show in London yesterday, where she promoted Gossip Girl and Couples Retreat. Kristen is absolutley hilarious on the show and you must watch it, I have added the clip to the video vault and you can also watch it under the cut. The trailer for Serious Moonlight has premiered and I have added the video and caps to the site. Kristen seems really adorable in this! I also added the clip that came out about a month ago after the Tribecca Film Festival we’d missed.
The next stop on the Couples Retreat bandwagon was London. x48 pictures have been added to the gallery.
Kristen was on London’s This Morning Show yesterday morning and you can see the video on their official site if you’re a resident. Gorgeous Gossip Girl tells us about getting to the top spot in the US film charts.
Kristen has gone from teenage detective in E4’s Veronica Mars to internet blogger in ITV2’s Gossip Girl, to being able to manipulate electricity in BBC2’s Heroes.
She is one of the biggest rising US stars of the moment and her career up does not appear to be slowing down as her latest project, film Couples Retreat, has proved a huge hit.
